How I helped the Mental Fitness of members at Crowns Gym Beckenham

As the UK’s leading qualified Mental Fitness Trainer, I’ve spent the past seven years developing practical, science-backed tools that help people train their minds with the same discipline and effectiveness as their bodies.

Just as regular physical training strengthens muscles, mental fitness exercises build resilience, focus, and confidence—tools that improve performance both in and out of the gym.

That’s why, during Men’s Mental Health Month, it was a perfect fit to partner with Crowns Gym Beckenham to support their staff, members, and athletes using my Thought Energy Design® methods. Together, we rolled out a multi-layered approach designed to impact the whole gym community.

Here’s how we did it:

1: Mindset WorkoutsWe hosted three Mindset Workouts, including a men’s only session, providing an immersive, interactive experience where attendees could learn to harness their thoughts, manage stress, and boost mental resilience. These sessions were designed to complement physical training, giving participants actionable strategies they could integrate into their daily routines.

2: Sharing Practical Tools for Members

Beyond the sessions, I worked with Crowns Gym members to share easy-to-use, practical mental fitness tools. From breathwork and visualization techniques to confidence-building exercises, members left equipped with actionable strategies to tackle challenges inside the gym and in life.

3: Direct Support for Boxers

Recognizing the unique pressures athletes face, I provided one-on-one and group support for the gym’s boxers, helping them strengthen mental focus, improve recovery, and maintain peak performance under pressure. This tailored approach allowed each athlete to train their mind as rigorously as their body, unlocking better results in the ring and beyond.

The Outcome

The combined approach made a tangible difference. Staff, members, and athletes left with improved focus, practical tools, and a renewed sense of confidence, showing that investing in mental fitness is just as essential as physical training.

If you’re looking to boost the mental fitness of your community, provide a value-add that complements physical performance, and deliver a holistic offering to staff, members, or athletes, I’d love to help.
